The Gainesville store opened in Oct. 1995, started by 3 employees that left a competitor. They rapidly gained market share and have grown to be one of our largest stores. In 2008 they moved to a new location with a larger showroom and warehouse. They cover a large radius of delivery, about 70 miles around Gainesville, every day. It is the northern-most of all the Ben’s locations.

Manager Tadd Stahmann has been with us since March 2010. He comes to us with a wealth of experience in several related fields, from automotive to industrial to I.T. Wayne Anderson serves as the outside salesperson for the immediate Gainesville area and also Ocala. He has been “pounding the streets” for a whopping 40 years! Randy Keene covers the remainder of North Central Florida and has been at it for over 30 years. When expertise in industrial sales is required, they call in Dave Simons (not pictured below), who serves all of our locations with extensive knowledge of specialty coatings, such as CPC and Matthews.

The support team includes 3 counter salespersons, and it takes 4 drivers to cover all that territory. The Gainesville team received the Ben’s Pursuit of Excellence award in 2002 and also the Store Excellence award in both 2005 and 2009!

The Gainesville store has all the colors you can imagine, but being the home of the University of Florida Fightin’ Gators, there is plenty of extra Orange and Blue!

Tadd Stahmann tstahmann@bensps.com 352-373-4002	Tadd joined the Ben’s team in March 2010. He has managed to work in most aspects of the collision industry both on the customer side and the sales side. A resume´ of his experience includes owning a detail shop, automotive painter, industrial fabricator, business accountant, PPG computer tech, insurance writer for collision shops and Microsoft certified technician. He’s even been with Ben’s before in two capacities – warehouse and counter sales. Quickly recognized as a team player, he received the Ben’s Most Valuable Teammate Award in 2011. Tadd was born in Gainesville, Fl. and is thereby a native Gator fan. He attended college at Santa Fe C.C. and later became certified in a variety of IT fields. He has a family of 6 and currently lives in the lakeside community of Keystone Heights, FL. He enjoys fishing, camping, hiking, being both a husband and father, well prepared food, and in case you missed it, Gator football. Go Gators!
Wayne Anderson wanderson@bensps.com 352-359-0383	Wayne serves as the outside salesman for the immediate Gainesville area and Ocala. He has been in the paint business for over 40 years and has seen a lot of changes in that time, from the simplicity of lacquer and enamel days to the complexity of today’s multitude of paint offerings. He originally started as a paint mixer in an auto parts store, but in 1972 he was pulled away to a PBE jobber store called Hill Supply Co. He began running a full time sales route in a box truck, then later on in a step van. That company and the whole concept of specialty paint stores grew rapidly in those years, even though during that time he experienced the deaths of two company owners. Along with Randy Keene, he joined the Ben’s team in 1995 when Hill Supply was sold, and remains a “go to” guy for experience and information. He’s a survivor, having wrestled with cancer and chemotherapy, and he remained on the clock the whole time! While at Ben’s he received the 2002 award for Sales Excellence, the 2006 award for Dedication and in 2010, the Ben Kimball Legacy award. Wayne and his wife Lana have two children and 2.5 grandkids. He enjoys working on engines, fishing and flying – both the real ones and his collection of radio controlled model planes.
Randy Keene rkeene@bensps.com 352-359-1587	Randy joined the Ben’s team in 1995 at the same time as Wayne Anderson, both having come from Hill Supply Company. They left there as a team and remain so to this day. At the former company, Randy began his career in the paint business as a delivery driver and then moved to inside sales. As the company grew, he moved to outside sales running a route on a delivery van. He remains in outside sales at Ben’s and covers a lot of territory in North Central Florida – about a 70 mile radius around Gainesville, except for Ocala. Customer loyalty seems to surround him as he has several that have been with him for over 20 years! Randy and his wife Carolyn have one daughter, Jessica. He enjoys spending time with them and does a lot of work with various youth organizations at his church.
Carousel Unger	You gotta love that name. In addition to the unusual name, Carousel comes to us from an unusually low percentile group – the female painter, having worked in various collision centers for many years. She joined us in 2008 as an inside sales associate and is as friendly as her telephone voice makes you feel. In 2010, Carousel received the Ben’s Core Value Award, which is given to only one person each year. Born and raised in Ocala, Florida, she has been married since 1989, has one son and 4 dogs. If all that doesn’t keep her busy enough, she is a Certified Scuba Diver and loves being outdoors in the USA!
Allen Poss	Allen began his career with us as a distribution specialist and also managed the Gainesville warehouse. He moved up to the counter as an inside sales associate in 2007. He has lived in Florida since 1974. A “retired” machinist, Allen has one daughter, Chelsea, and a grandson Charlie. He has a great time riding his motorcycle and enjoys weekend scenic bike rides. Of course, it is Gainesville after all and he has a message for you: “Go Gators!”
Rachelle Trullender	Rachelle came aboard in 2007 as a part-time general assistant. Being multi-skilled as she is, she was able to pinch-hit almost any position. In 2010 she became a Color Specialist and took charge of custom aerosol production as well. In 2011 she was promoted to full-time Counter Sales Associate. At home she enjoys being with family and her 4 dogs.
Chris Unger	Chris Joined the Ben’s team in Jan. 2011 as a color specialist. He is also the son of Carousel, mentioned above.



Jimmy Coffey	Jimmy is originally from Charlotte, NC. His family moved to Florida and from 1979-1983 he attended high school at the Florida Air Academy. He came on board in 2008 as distribution specialist. Jimmy is married with 3 children and coaches fast pitch softball in his time away from work. He has done that since 1996 and has other sports in his background as well. He has played football, soccer and participated in track & field competition.
