Our Orlando store is centrally located.  Opened in January 1999, it has the strongest blend of automotive, industrial, and sign, scenic & theme sales.  It is the central mixing and color matching station for PPG’s CPC industrial line and supplies all of our stores with this service.  Manager Charlie Parker provides over 30 years of experience.  His 7-member support team provides an enthusiastic group of dedicated individuals who work together to help you get what you need to achieve your goals.  In 2007 , 2008 and 2011, the Orlando team received the Ben’s Award for Store Excellence.  In August 2017, they moved from a small strip mall on Orange Blossom Trail to a larger facility on Parkway Commerce Blvd.  It was time to grow!

Team Members

Charlie Parker cparker@bensps.com	Charlie currently serves as the manager of our Orlando, Kissimmee and Lakeland stores. In 2013 he was promoted to serve as Regional Manager to include those stores plus Longwood.  A Florida native born in Daytona Beach, he started with Ben’s in 1978 as a delivery driver. He became the manager of our Deland store when it opened in 1983. In 2001, he was offered the challenge of managing our Orlando store and has helped it grow to one of our premier locations.  In 2008 he gained the added responsibility of overseeing the Kissimmee store and in 2011 the Lakeland store, so on any given day you may find him traveling.  He’s an award winner, having received the Ben’s Award for Leadership in both 2002 & 2008, the Pursuit of Excellence Award in 2005, and the inaugural Ben Kimball Legacy Award in 2009.  In 2013, he received the Core Value Award.  Charlie has a daughter that attends college at USF in Tampa. He is a big NASCAR fan and enjoys tennis, biking, disc golf and walking. He is continually dedicated to customer service and the success of Ben’s as a whole.
Kenny Coates kcoates@bensps.com 321-246-4793	Kenny’s lifetime business experience has been in paint sales.  Before coming to Ben’s he was both a counterperson and a manager.  He moved from his home in Largo, FL and became a part of the Ben’s team in Dec. 1998.  He served as the Orlando store manager until 2002 when he switched to outside sales.  Although primarily home-based with the Orlando store, he also serves some accounts in the Kissimmee and Longwood markets.  His success in sales is marked by his accomplishments, having received the Ben’s award for Sales Excellence in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2011 and 2012!  Kenny has grown to appreciate the family atmosphere he experiences while working at Ben’s.  In his free time, he enjoys the beach, the gym and spending time with his family.
Tanika Tompkins ttompkins@bensps.com	Tanika currently serves as an inside sales associate. She is a Florida native, born in Orlando. She joined our delivery team in 2001 and in 2003, received the Ben’s Service Excellence Award in that capacity. She was promoted to the counter in 2004. Then in 2007 she received the Ben’s Award for Sales Associate of the Year. Tanika enjoys working out, video games and spending time with her family and friends.
Amber Dimitri adimitri@bensps.com	Amber currently serves as an inside sales specialist. She has been in the auto paint business since 1996 and joined our team in 2002.  In 2009 she received the Ben’s Award for Sales Associate of the Year.
Dennis Steinly	Dennis currently serves as a color specialist in the industrial segment of our company. He single-handedly fulfills all of the industrial paint needs for all of our store locations from here in the Orlando store. Born in Akron, Ohio, Dennis moved to Florida when he was 9 years old and has been in the auto/industrial paint business since 1963. He joined the Ben’s team in 2005. In that year and in both 2008 and 2009, he received the award for Color Specialist of the Year. Dennis is married and has 2 daughters, 4 dogs and 4 cats! He enjoys bowling and tinkering on cars. One item that Dennis is proud of is the many friends he has made in the business.
